C. Anne McIntyre
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Anne loves to help in her community and one day wondered “Why don’t vulnerable people in Victoria have access to soap and hygiene products?” Her organization became a conduit between the hotel industry, that throws thousands of pounds of usable products into the landfill each day, and Community Facilities serving vulnerable people, that need these products. Starting with 5 local Shelters, Soap for Hope Canada has rapidly grown to help thousands of people across BC & AB with their essential hygiene and linen needs.
Remembering her grandfather’s wisdom of “2 birds, 1 stone.” Anne built Soap for Hope Canada to simultaneously help people and the environment at the same time.
Using the products gathered from the hotel industry, Soap for Hope Canada has created 3 Social Enterprises to help fund their non-profit. They are currently launching their 4th Social Enterprise which will turn the empty hygiene bottles into 3D printer filaments.
