Annie Dahan
Annie’s background in architecture and sustainability led her to found Seacork Studio – a startup developing biodegradable acoustic panels from seaweed. Through her work designing with low impact circular materials, she strives to inspire a cultural shift that rethinks our relationship with the natural world.
She has a bachelor in Sustainability Sciences from McGill University, and began her career as a sustainability consultant for architects where she developed a passion for regenerative architecture and design. She continued her education with a Masters of Architecture at the University of British Columbia, and then worked as an architectural designer in Vancouver – always keeping a grounding lens to her roots in sustainability. She developed a deep interest in bio-based materials and living near the beach, began getting her hands dirty exploring the materiality of local seaweeds – leading to the development of the Seacork material.
