Lauren Semple (she/they) is a dynamic leader at the intersection of inclusion, sustainability, and project management. With a human-centred approach to “DEI,” Lauren delivers specialized training and guidance to destinations and organizations, all rooted in authentic community connection. Their expertise in 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion and accessibility spans across sectors like tourism, not-for-profit, and public service. Throughout the pandemic, Lauren was instrumental in designing and delivering the Vancouver Island and BC Tourism Resiliency Network projects, driving three years of impactful outcomes. This work laid the foundation for the BC Tourism Sustainability Network, now in its third intake under Destination BC’s Tourism Climate Resiliency Initiative.
