Ian Stone
In 2010, Ian eagerly returned home to Newfoundland and Labrador from western Canada to join Gros Morne National Park. Deeply rooted in the province’s strong sense of place, he has become a passionate advocate for Newfoundland’s people, culture, and natural beauty. Inspired by life in Gros Morne, Ian and his wife, Rebecca, have founded four ventures, including Tour and Taste Gros Morne, Gros Morne Inn, and the Atlantic Healthy Oceans Initiative. Through these projects, they promote sustainable tourism and community collaboration, offering guests authentic, transformative experiences that celebrate the region’s unique landscapes and traditions. Living and working in a world-class national park fuels Ian’s commitment to environmental stewardship and innovative tourism development, ensuring visitors connect meaningfully with Newfoundland and Labrador while supporting local livelihoods and conservation efforts.
