Gwendal Castellan
Gwendal’s professional career started in Geomatics & remote sensing looking at the world through the eyes of satellites in an office without any windows. He devised a project that took him from Patagonia to the Northwest Territories. Gwendal landed at Destination Vancouver in 2012 where being part of a holistic approach to building a tourism industry that contributes to thriving communities and creating a welcoming environment for everyone keeps him motivated. He is a Certified Energy Manager and graduate of the THNK School of Creative Leadership. Gwendal sits on several sustainability advisory committees such as the sustainability & social impact advisory committee for the Events Industry Council, and the stewardship committee of the BC Marine Trails Association, he is a fellow of the League of Intrapreneurs, a founding board member of the Vancouver Tourism Facility Managers Association and is currently on the board of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
