Gracen Chungath

Senior Vice President, Destination Development at Destination Canada

Gracen Chungath, Senior Vice President of Destination Development at Destination Canada, leads the organization’s pan-Canadian strategy for Destination Development, focusing on strategic partnerships, stewardship of tourism supply, and investment.

Gracen spearheads several initiatives including launch of the tourism corridor strategy program, the development of a comprehensive knowledge platform and hosted an International Symposium on Destination Stewardship to elevate a regenerative approach to tourism. Under her leadership, a collaborative forum has been established, connecting destination development professionals across Canada and for uplifting each other’s work.

Previously, as Director of Strategic Operations at the City of Vancouver, she managed a multibillion-dollar real estate portfolio, including affordable housing and cultural spaces. Gracen holds an MSc in Public Policy from SOAS, London, and an MBA from Creighton University, USA, and actively contributes to numerous non-profit boards.
