As president of Canadian-based tartanbond, Deirdre has been entrenched in the integrated communications business for more than 24 years, specializing in sustainable tourism and destination marketing.  In 2017, Tartan merged with the tigerbond, a UK based PR agency with over 40 years of experience.  This allowed Deirdre to expand her team’s crisis communications and digital marketing expertise and build a substantial client base with offices across Canada.  Today tartanbond counts the Jordan Tourism Board, Adventure Travel Tourism Association, Destination Canada, Marriott Canada, and Indigenous Tourism Canada along with many outstanding sustainable tourism experiences, retail, technology and real estate developers among its clients. Recognized for her work in global tourism, Deirdre was awarded Destination Greater Victoria’s Miracle Award.
