As a tourism professional for over 25 years, David Holder co-founded Clarity of Place in 2020 with the objective of helping destinations find better alignment with the communities they serve. The firm was acquired by Longwoods International in January of 2023, strengthening their ability to provide research-based recommendations to build destination strategies. The team has worked directly with a wide variety of destinations including Rhode Island, Colorado, Long Island, Fort Myers, and Fresno.

Over the course of his career, he was part of the Global Tourism team of JLL working on projects with Visit Raleigh and Visit Sarasota. He served as President of Visit Syracuse and garnered the region recognition as the “Official Home of Winter.”

Additionally, David led tourism for the communities of Fredericksburg, VA and the Corning and Finger Lakes region. David received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Tourism Management from North Carolina State University.
