Chyanne Trenholm is a member of the Xwe’malhkwu (Homalco) First Nation in Campbell River, BC. Graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Tourism Management and a Minor in Recreation, Chyanne’s passion is for creating capacity within her community through tourism development while aiding in cultural revitalization, social sustainability and environmental stewardship. Chyanne is the General Manager for her Nations award-winning ecotourism business, Homalco Wildlife & Cultural Tours, which welcomes visitors from around the world to experience the traditional lands of the Xwe’malhkwu people in the Discovery Islands and Bute Inlet through immersive cultural tours, whale watching excursions and grizzly bear viewing.
