Callandra Caufield is the Executive Director of Explore Cochrane, where she is helping shape the future of an emerging tourism destination. Drawing on nearly 30 years of experience across international event management, entrepreneurship, destination management and culinary tourism, she brings a diverse perspective to destination development. Throughout her career, she has been drawn to experiences that foster creativity, human connection and a deeper appreciation of place.

Today, her work is centred on building a tourism economy that reflects the character, values and aspirations of the community. With a particular interest in regenerative tourism, she is exploring how destinations can move beyond attracting visitors to creating lasting benefits for the people and places that welcome them.

Callandra holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management from Thompson Rivers University and is completing a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Royal Roads University.
